Most of the drone operators who appear for regional searches are not in the region. They are quoting a national radius from somewhere else, and the travel is either buried in the price or the job is not worth their while.

- How far the site is. A job forty minutes away costs less to attend than one three hours away, and the quotation reflects that rather than averaging it across everybody.
- Whether it is one visit or several. Progress monitoring on a monthly return is quoted as a programme, which is materially better value than separate call-outs.
- Whether anything else is nearby. If we are already attending a site in your area, say so — grouping work into one run is the cheapest way to buy it.
If the travel starts to outweigh the job we will tell you at the enquiry stage. Nobody benefits from a long round trip to photograph a single elevation.

Often, if they are reasonably close together. It is the best-value way to buy this work, so list every address when you enquire.
Do you work outside the East Midlands?
Yes, for work that justifies the journey — multi-site portfolios, full days, repeat programmes. For a single small inspection at long range a local operator will do it for less, and we will say so.
How much notice do you need?
It depends on the diary and the forecast rather than a fixed lead time. Local work can often be fitted in within the week.
What happens if the weather stops the visit?
The date moves and nothing is charged for the aborted attendance. We decide the day before wherever the forecast allows it.
